Managing Feed Files
The Files tab on each feed gives you visibility and control over every file FeedSync has handled.
The three tabs
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Input | Files received and waiting to be processed. |
| Processed | Files imported successfully. |
| Failed | Files that couldn't be processed. |
What each state means
Input — waiting in the queue. Normally empty or only briefly populated. If files sit here for a long time, processing may be backed up — give it a few minutes or check back shortly.
Processed — parsed successfully and their listings stored. Each entry shows the filename, size, and when it was processed.
Failed — hit an error during processing. Open a failed file to see the error message and the file contents, then fix the cause upstream and re-process.
Bulk actions
Select files with the checkboxes on the Processed and Failed tabs:
- Re-process — re-queue the selected files. FeedSync advances each file's modification time so it's treated as new data.
- Delete — permanently remove the file from storage. The listings it created are unaffected.
Finding files
Use the search bar to filter by filename, and the column headers to sort by name, size, or date.
Retention
Processed files are kept until you delete them. For high-volume feeds, clearing out old processed files from time to time keeps the list quick to browse.
