Connecting Your Feed

A feed is where FeedSync gets your property data. Each feed has a provider (the format and software) and a delivery method (how the data reaches FeedSync).

Providers & formats

Provider formatDescription
REAXMLThe standard Australian real estate XML format. Exported by most CRMs (e.g. My Desktop, Inspect Real Estate, and other REAXML-compatible software).
RockendData sourced from Rockend products.

REAXML is the most common choice. When you create a feed you select a provider that already knows the format and the delivery methods it supports.

Delivery methods

Portal Push (file drop)

The default method. FeedSync gives the feed a watched folder; your software (or a portal feed) drops REAXML files into it, and FeedSync picks them up and processes them automatically.

FTP

FeedSync provisions an FTP account for you and shows you the host, username, and password on the feed page. Point your agency software's export at those FeedSync-hosted FTP credentials — you don't enter your own external FTP server.

note

FeedSync uses standard FTP. You configure your software to upload to the credentials we provide; FeedSync then processes whatever lands in the folder.

API (direct upload)

Your own system pushes REAXML straight to FeedSync over our upload API using OAuth2 — ideal for custom integrations and high‑volume offices. This is a push model (your system sends data to us), not FeedSync polling you. See API Feeds for the full flow.

Manual file upload

Regardless of delivery method, you can always upload a file by hand from the feed's Files tab — handy for testing or a one-off import. See File Upload.

Multiple feeds

You can run several feeds on one account — for example one per office or one per software system. Each feed has its own files, processing history, listings, and connected sites.
